Siloam Private Hospital becomes the first in Indonesia to adopt da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system

Siloam Private Hospital is the first private hospital in Indonesia to adopt the technology, marking a huge moment in the country’s drive towards enhancing patient outcomes through robotic-assisted surgery solutions.

The opening was attended by Indonesia’s Minister of Health, Pak Budi Gunadi Sadikin, who was shown how the da Vinci Xi machine operates and highlighted in his speech the importance and impact that this collaboration will have on Indonesian healthcare. Dr Ferdhy, a surgeon at Siloam Private Hospital, has officially launched the program, using the da Vinci Xi machine to cut the miniature ceremonial ribbon.

The da Vinci Xi by Intuitive is the most-widely used multiport robotic surgery system in the world and is designed to assist surgeons for minimally-invasive procedures. It enhances surgical capabilities through advanced instrumentation, 3D high-definition vision, and precise, wristed instruments that replicate a surgeon’s hand movements.
